Are you interested in growing your career with Ireland’s only 4 star airline? We are looking for an Airline Partners Manager to join our Strategy and Planning team. The partnership team identify, build and sustain mutually beneficial airline partner relationships. These partnerships are increasingly important to increase choice and value for our guests and improve revenue for Aer Lingus. Based in Dublin Airport and reporting to the Director of Partnerships, you will have responsibility for negotiating and developing sustainable relationships with our key airline partners aiming to secure a strong competitive position for the airline. You will lead and coordinate complex, cross functional projects and will play a key role in the programme to integrate Aer Lingus into the Atlantic Joint Business with American Airlines, British Airways, Iberia and Finnair.

Your role:

Commercial insight and business understanding
To ensure airline partnerships are designed and optimised to meet customer needs, are effective and achieve Aer Lingus’s business objectives
To support the development of Aer Lingus partnership strategy, ensuring all airline partner developments are consistent with Aer Lingus’s strategy
Define, instruct and interpret appropriate analysis and insight
Identify and implement ways to continually improve airline partner processes and performance
Relationship management and negotiation
To actively maintain ongoing partner relationships including contractual compliance and operational/seasonal updates
To lead or support, as appropriate, complex commercial negotiations with existing and potential partner airlines
To successfully lead and deliver a portfolio of airline partner projects and initiatives
Project and stakeholder management
To structure programmes of work and establish appropriate partner governance
To ensure the project control is sound throughout the whole project
To manage and lead large cross functional virtual teams
To ensure effective stakeholder engagement throughout the development process

Your qualifications & key criteria:

Sound commercial and business understanding
Proven record of delivering large/complex projects
Successful management of multiple and cross-functional stakeholders
Project management or working in a planning environment
Experience of negotiating with or working with 3rd parties and suppliers
Degree or equivalent
Professional training and/or demonstrable track record of programme management
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Eligible to live and work in the EU
Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport
Provide 3 verifiable references
Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5 year back ground check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in
Possess and be able to demonstrate the key competencies and skills

*If you are a non Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries

Desirable skills:

Experience of working in an Alliance environment
Experience of establishing and managing contracts
Formal negotiation training or experience of contract negotiation and management
