Establishment of the Project Delivery function in Business Technology
Build, lead and motivate a multi-disciplinary team including Business Analysis, Project Management, SME’s and solution and technical architects
Build and maintain strong relationships with business stakeholders to ensure effective delivery of project objectives
Ensure that all projects are delivered on time, to agreed levels of quality and within approved budget
Manage Cost and resource allocation for the Project function ensuring appropriate Capex / Opex allocation
Develop KPIs to monitor & measure quality, cost, on-time delivery and voice of the customer (internal).
Work closely with D&M to deliver to business stakeholders
Build strong relationships with IAG Group Business Services (IAGGBS) Procurement, IAGGBS Project Delivery and IAGGBS Group Architecture
Exercise effective change control, demonstrating time and cost impact for all change requests
Your qualifications & criteria:
3rd level qualification in related field or equivalent work experience
10+ years Project Management experience across IT and Business projects
Experience of managing project teams implementing projects with budgets of at least €5 million
Proven experience in working with 3rd party suppliers and managed service providers in the delivery of business or IT change initiatives – including experience of working with remote and co-located teams and vendors
Excellent knowledge and proven experience of working with IT Software Development Lifecycle methodologies including Waterfall & Agile
Knowledge of IT and Digital systems, including experience of leading software development projects involving web-based, mid-range and integration platforms and applications
Ability to continuously improve project management processes, tools and methods
Advanced level of proficiency in use of Microsoft Office suite – including Project, Visio, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Excellent communication skills – shares clear and appropriately detailed information (Written and Oral).
Excellent organisational skills.
Demonstrates personal energy and a positive attitude that influences others.
Excellent analytical skills – identifies issues and their potential root causes; makes decisions considering benefits and costs, balances analysis with decisiveness
Strong negotiation skills with proven ability to maintain relationships with stakeholders and to influence stakeholders in support of project delivery
Proven ability to build, motivate and lead high performing teams
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Eligible to live and work in the EU
Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport
Provide 3 verifiable references
Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5 year back ground check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in
*If you are a non Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries
Project Management Qualification (e.g. Scrum master, PRINCE2 / PMP)
Knowledge of IT and business project delivery in the airline industry is a distinct advantage.
