Graduate Data Analyst
Are you interested in growing your career as a Data Analyst with Ireland’s only 4 star airline? We are looking for a Graduate Data Analyst to join our talented team of HR professionals. Our HR team is comprised of a number of Centres of Excellence and touches all elements of our organisation, making it a varied, challenging and rewarding career choice. HR is a key department in helping the airline achieve its success and plans for future growth. Big Data and Analytics play a critical role in influencing a number of areas in HR such as; Employee Engagement & Motivation, Employee Retention, Performance Management, Recruitment and Talent Acquisition and overall, enable better planning for the future. Based in Dublin Airport and reporting to the HR Service Delivery Manager you will use data, research and analytical insights to build and improve existing People Processes including Workforce Planning, Talent & Career Development to help improve and solve HR related challenges. You will need excellent problem-solving skills, curiosity, attention to detail and high level of accountability. You should also have strong presentation skills and ability to multi task. The position is full-time for 2 years from September 2018.
Interpret data, analyze results using statistical techniques and provide on-going reports
Develop and implement databases, data collection systems, data analytics and other strategies that optimize statistical efficiency and quality
Acquire data from primary or secondary data sources and maintain databases/data systems
Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in complex data sets
Filter and “clean” data by reviewing computer reports, printouts, and performance indicators to locate and correct code problems
Work with management to prioritize business and information needs
Locate and define new process improvement opportunities
Your qualifications & essential criteria:
Must be studying towards or have recently completed* a degree in a quantitative/numerical/analytical discipline for example; Data Analytics/Statistics/Maths and be expecting to obtain a 2.1 result. A Master’s Degree is preferred
Must be in a position to start the graduate position full-time from September 2018
Excellent IT skills (MS Office) especially MS Excel
Deep interest in data, metrics, analysis and trends.
Strong skills in code like SQL an advantage and Oracle
The ability to analyse, model and interpret data
Strong problem-solving skills with a methodical and logical approach
The ability to plan work and meet deadlines
A high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Good interpersonal skills to work as part of a team
Excellent written and spoken communication skills including report writing
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Eligible to live and work in the EU
Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport
Provide 2 verifiable references
Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5 year back ground check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in
Possess and be able to demonstrate the key competencies and skills outlined below
*Graduation date should be from September 2017 onwards
*If you are a non-Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries
