Learning and Development Specialist, Dublin

Are you interested in growing your career with Ireland’s only 4 star airline? We are looking for a Learning and Development Specialist to join our growing team within the People & Change Department. Reporting to the Director of HR Operations the successful candidate will be responsible for supporting the design and roll out of learning and development solutions for the organisation that motivate and develop skills , enhance productivity and quality of work, and build commitment to the organisation.

Proactively identify opportunities to enhance training processes, standards and approaches company-wide to ensure that all training provided is to the highest standards and meets statutory requirements.
Work with the HR Business Partner team and the business to analyse and collate training needs to develop training solutions to bridge the skills gaps identified.
Support design, development and roll-out of leadership development programmes and business training initiatives within budget parameters.
Work closely with our outsourced L & D service partner to ensure an effective learning and development service is provided to the business.
Continuously monitor the effectiveness of the service being provided by our outsourced L & D service partner, ensuring that it meets business requirements and is compliant with SLA’s and KPI’s in place.
Manage training vendor selection process, including support on contract negotiations as required.
Support continued integration and usage of our Learning Management System across the business, including identification of potential enhancements to increase the functionality available to the business.
Provide support on other HR related work projects, as required.
To be considered for the role of Learning and Development Specialist, candidates must meet the following:
Minimum of Degree in relevant HR/organisational Psychology Discipline with master’s level desirable.
3+ years working in an L & D role with a progressive company.
Experience in designing, developing and rolling out L & D programmes and initiatives.
Experience working with a Learning Management System essential; experience supporting the implementation of an LMS an advantage.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken.
Eligible to live and work in the EU.
Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport.
Provide 2 verifiable references.
Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5 year background check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in.
Key Competencies / Skills Required:
Demonstrated achievement in a similar role in a progressive organization.
Strong knowledge of best practice in L&D, with examples of implementing innovative solutions to meet business needs.
Evidence of capacity to learn quickly and to handle multiple, competing priorities in parallel.
Excellent ability to develop relationships with peers, internal customers, external service providers and outsourced teams.
Evidence of building and maintaining relationships at all levels of the organization including the ability to establish credibility at management levels.
Project management skills.
Proven ability to collate and analyse data, and use data to drive decision making.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills both verbal and written.
Competent facilitator and presenter.
Project management experience and a demonstrated understanding of HR Strategy.
Experience in Organisational Development and Leadership and Talent Programs.
Proven ability in developing effective working relationships across all levels of the organisation.
Proficient in Microsoft Packages including Powerpoint/Excel etc.
*If you are a non Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries
