Avionics Specialist - Dublin
Maintenance & Engineering Department
Are you interested in growing your career with Ireland’s only 4 star airline? We are looking for an Avionics Specialist to join our growing Engineering team. We’re the department that manages the scheduled maintenance, modification and repair of our A320 and A330 fleet in order to retain the highest levels of safety and reliability. Based in Dublin Airport and reporting to the Director of Engineering you will have responsibility for providing technical support to Aer Lingus Part 145 Maintenance, managing avionic upgrade campaigns and other avionic requirements as mandated by EASA.

Evaluating mandatory maintenance requirements e.g. ADs, ETOPS, etc.
Evaluating OEM and vendor technical instructions e.g. SBs, VSB, AOT etc.
Evaluating aircraft upgrades and modifications.
Managing the implementation of modifications from RFQ, approval process, to implementation.
Generating Engineering Orders in AMOS to accomplish continuing airworthiness requirements.
Facilitating the acceptance and return of Aircraft to lessor/airline.
Developing and supporting the implementation of Lean within the Engineering Department.
Your qualifications & key criteria:
Hold an aircraft maintenance technical qualification in EASA Part 66 B1 or B2 disciplines or equivalent third level qualification.
Minimum of 5 years working experience in an aircraft maintenance environment.
Strong working knowledge of AMOS and Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power Point etc).
Knowledge of Airbus Technical Documentation and IT offerings
Experience in writing technical work instructions and technical reports.
Experience in interpreting national authority Mandatory Publications.
Excellent understanding of aircraft regulatory requirements.
Knowledge of EASA Part 21 certification documents.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Eligible to live and work in the EU
Current unrestricted passport
Hold a current full driving licence
Sound knowledge of the Aer Lingus Safety Management System
Possess and be able to demonstrate the key competencies and skills outlined below

Ability to work as part of a team but also demonstrate the ability to work on own initiative

Excellent attention to detail
*If you are a non Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries
