Are you interested in growing your career with Ireland’s only 4 star airline? Applications are currently being invited for the role of IFS Team Manager based in Dublin. The successful candidate will be responsible for the ongoing management of a designated team of Cabin Crew with particular focus on the management and development of Cabin Service Managers and Senior Cabin Crew to maximise the delivery of outstanding guest service and the achievement of Inflight Retail revenue targets. The IFS Team Manager will report to the Inflight Services Manager.


Your Role:
Responsibility for the ongoing management of a designated team of crew, in line with company people policies and practices
Performance management for their designated team of crew in all key performance areas including Guest Service, safety, Inflight Retail and punctuality, working through and coaching the Cabin Service Managers and Senior Cabin Crew to achieve a performance management culture
Regularly  communicating  and engaging   with crew on business, operational and performance issues, using a variety of communication and recognition channels
Improving employee engagement levels within the cabin crew community to foster a culture of mutual trust
Contributing to the management of a positive Employee Relations environment and developing appropriate channels as necessary
Actively managing attendance and punctuality for a designated team of cabin crew conducting timely return to work discussions and management of aspects of the attendance management process.  Reporting and updating the Attendance and Resource Manager on attendance case management
Ensuring a duty of care is exercised in all interactions and dealings with the team
Management of all required business process discrepancies
Working with the Duty Operations Managers in conducting the Debriefing of crew on critical incidents and catalyst for Peer Support process following relevant inflight incidents
Responsibility for recruitment and promotional campaigns
Management of cabin crew in line with all corporate people management policies and procedures e.g. disciplinaries, grievances etc
Working with the other IFS Team Managers across other bases to continuously review and improve people processes and practices
Responsible for motivating Cabin Crew to consistently deliver our Inflight Retail experience and maximise sales revenue
Liaising with the Product and Service Specialist in the implementation of product initiatives
Acting as a change agent communicating and driving change in line with departmental strategy and objectives
Participation in emergency reaction planning
Leading IFS projects where required
Undertaking various safety tasks from time to time e.g. inflight inspections
Minimum flying with recency maintained (non essential)

To be considered for the position of IFS Team Manager, candidates must meet the following:

Your qualifications & key criteria:
Be prepared to travel frequently, which may occasionally be at short notice
Proven leadership skills with the ability to motivate staff
Ability to drive improvement initiatives and mentor employees
Shift work will be required as the operational schedule requires, 7 days a week
Minimum of 3-5 years experience managing teams in a fast paced operational environment
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Power Point and Excel)
Ability to maintain a valid current airside pass
Possession and demonstration of the key competencies and skills outlined below
Leadership skills and proven ability to engage and motivate large teams
Excellent relationship builder with sound emotional intelligence
A proven effective people manager with strong interpersonal skills
Flexible and adaptable, with proven ability to operate in a ever changing environment
Team player with ability to influence
Organisation skills and ability to prioritise
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with the ability to present facts objectively and articulately.  Good report writing ability
Comfortable with the use of data to inform business actions
Comfortable working with IT applications combined with the ability to learn new skills quickly
Resilient and tenacious

Desirable Criteria:
Experience of dealing with Trade Unions

*If you are a non Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries.
