Technical Representative
Maintenance & Engineering Department, Dublin

Applications are currently being invited for the role of Technical Representative in the Maintenance & Engineering Department in Dublin. Reporting to the Contracts Maintenance Manager, the successful candidate will provide technical oversight and reporting on maintenance events performed by third party service providers on the Aer Lingus fleet of aircraft including base maintenance checks and major component repairs and overhauls.

He/she will play a significant role in ensuring all elements of Aer Lingus contracts are adhered to on a continuous basis while also being responsible for the local approval of additional work invoice.  They will also be responsible for the delivery of an end of check report detailing man-hours consumed, materials and other ad-hoc date which will support the development of the maintenance cost data model.

Key Responsibilities & Duties Include:

Providing oversight of contracted maintenance on Aer Lingus aircraft including aircraft deliveries and redeliveries while ensuring our service providers maintain the highest safety standards possible
Ensuring supplier relationships are maintained to maximise our commercial opportunities
Reconciliation of contracted maintenance invoices including negotiation of additional invoice claims while ensuing adherence to budget  
Participating in daily project meetings while ensuring all significant items are reported in a timely manner to the Contracted Maintenance Manager.
Supporting the Planning Department with all aspects of development and execution of the annual maintenance programme
Preparing and updating of spreadsheets providing financial analysis of the project budget on a weekly basis
Supporting the development of the departmental budget and maintenance cost forecasts with a strong commercial focus on cost control 

To be considered for the role of Technical Representative, candidates must meet the following:

Essential Criteria:

Hold an aircraft maintenance technical qualification in EASA Part 66 B1 and/or B2 disciplines or equivalent third level qualification
Airbus A320 and/or A330 type rating desirable but not essential
Knowledge of the Aer Lingus Base maintenance planning process
Ability to understand and manage complex contracts and projects
Knowledge of aircraft financing and budget forecasting essential
Strong working knowledge of AMOS and Excel
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Eligible to live and work in the EU
Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport
Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5 year background check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in
Possess and be able to demonstrate the key competencies and skills outlined below

*If you are a non Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries
