Reporting to the Director of Maintenance the successful candidate will have significant experience in Material Management within an aircraft maintenance environment with in-depth knowledge of technical Stores, planning and engineering functions.

Key Responsibilities & Duties Include:
Responsible for inventory management, stock optimisation and inventory policy setting with budgetary control for all Aer Lingus aircraft technical stocks located throughout the network
Responsible for overseeing the technical procurement and repair management function within Aer Lingus in line with lean and continuous improvement principles     
Responsible for the procurement of capital items and technical services in support of the Maintenance and Engineering department
Responsible for contract management and oversight of contracted component maintenance providers.
Manage and support on behalf of Aer Lingus any IAG procurement and inventory initiatives
Manage the technical stores activities at Dublin and line stations                                              
Developing staff training initiatives
Ensuring corrective actions resulting from quality compliance auditing are addressed in a timely manner
Responsible for airline materials invoice certification and dispute resolution in line with Aer Lingus payment guidelines
Working closely with the Aer Lingus Finance dept in providing regular management information reports identifying in detail any material spend variances against budget 
Managing the initial and re- provisioning of aircraft  spares procurement for new fleet additions
Representing Aer Lingus at IAG procurement and International Airline Technical Pooling meetings

To be considered for the role of Materials Manager, candidates must meet the following:

 Essential Criteria:
Excellent ability in the use of AMOS and associated system interfaces
Fully literate in all MS Office applications including Excel (High Level of Proficiency), Word, and PowerPoint
Previous supervisory/managerial experience
Hold a current full clean driving licence
Be in possession of or be able to obtain an airside security pass
Possess and be able to demonstrate the key competencies and skills outlined below

*If you are a non Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries
