Are you interested in joining Ireland’s only 4-star airline? We are looking for a tenacious and ambitious Accountant to join our Finance team in Dublin. You will work as part of the Financial Reporting team, who are responsible for preparing internal and external financial reporting and driving continual improvements in the quality of management reporting. Your role:


Preparation of monthly consolidation and cash flows
Preparation of forecast balance sheet and forecast cash flows along with coordination of same with the financial planning specialist who oversees the five year plan
Responsibility for completion of the quarterly financial accounts pack, for submission to our parent company within tight group reporting timetables
Responsibility for all accounting, planning and reporting of capital expenditure and depreciation costs. Key outputs include budget, forecasts and five year plan, as well as monthly, quarterly and annual reporting
Oversight of fixed assets and capital projects, including regular review of the fixed asset register for impairment or disposals, and tracking of project spend versus budget.
Preparation of monthly reconciliations of balance sheet accounts, monthly variance analysis, analysing variances versus budget, forecast and prior year, giving clear insight into the drivers of variances
Assisting the other finance teams and our commercial department with technical accounting queries and the explanation of how commercial decisions made may be accounted for
Preparation of the statutory financial statements prepared under International Financial Reporting Standards
Efficiently manage the half year and year end audits, ensuring completion in line with tight timelines
Working with finance management to ensure our internal controls framework is maintained, and that policies, processes and accounting technical judgements are documented.
Working with finance management to improve the quality of general financial analysis, accounting and reporting in the finance function
Working with finance management to achieve improvements in internal processes, procedures and controls, and in particular balance sheet reconciliations
Assisting with a broad range of ad hoc projects supporting the finance function

Your qualifications & key criteria:

Be a qualified accountant, e.g. ACA, ACCA, CIMA
Capex experience would be desirable
Excellent knowledge of MS Office combined with general proficiency in IT systems
Inquisitive, outgoing, tenacious and comfortable challenging the “status quo”
Practical approach to solving problems
Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Proven interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships
Ability to work on own initiative and as part of an integrated team
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Eligible to live and work in the EU
Be in possession of or be able to obtain an airside security pass
Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport

*If you are a non-Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries
