Applications are currently being invited for the role of B1/B2 Training Specialist within the Maintenance and Engineering Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for the preparation, development, delivery and co-ordination of technical training for Part 145 and Part M staff within the Maintenance and Engineering department and external suppliers. They will also be responsible for identifying new training requirements and the currency of the existing offerings in order to ensure we continually meet and comply with the requirements of the relevant EASA and FAA regulations.

Providing technical training to all Part 145 and Part M staff as required
Provide training as required to operational and supplier staff
Developing, preparing and maintaining technical training courses
Engaging in and promoting the use of E learning as a platform for the delivery of courses.
Assisting in the development of an annual training plan for the Maintenance and Engineering department.
Ensuring training material/handouts are available for all courses.
Ensuring that all training records are accurately maintained in a database (currently AMOS)
Completing various tasks and projects as allocated by the Head of Training
To be considered for the role of B1/B2 Training Specialist candidates must meet the following criteria:
Your qualifications & key criteria:
Hold a current EASA Part 66 category B1 or B2 licence
Demonstrate and excellent working knowledge of the Aer Lingus fleet, maintenance organisation, maintenance procedures and AMOS
A professional attitude with a proven ability to influence lead and deliver
Possess a demonstrated ability to assess and report on standards
Excellent communications, interpersonal and relationship management skills with the ability to convey information objectively
Proven decision making skills with the ability to make timely well informed decisions
Proven Administration skills with strong attention to detail
IT Literacy with advanced Microsoft Office skills
Highly motivated team player with a positive attitude
Must be prepared to undertake continuing professional development in order to maintain currency.
Ability to obtain and maintain a current valid airside pass which includes a 5-year security background check.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Eligible to live and work in the EU
*If you are a non-Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries
