Role Title: Inventory Planner/Buyer
Maintenance & Engineering Department Dublin
Applications are currently being invited for the role of Inventory Planner/Buyer. We are looking for a Inventory Planner/Buyer to join our Maintenance & Engineering Department. We’re the department that is responsible for maintenance of our Fleet of A320, A321, and A330 aircraft. Based in Hangar 6 at Dublin Airport with Line Maintenance departments in Dublin, Shannon, Cork and also at UK and North American stations our aircraft engineers perform line maintenance and check (base) maintenance on all of our fleet up to A checks. Maintenance activities are supported by our own Engineering, Planning, Quality Assurance and Materials (Logistics) departments.
Reporting to the Inventory, Supplier & Materials Data Specialist the Inventory Planner/Buyer is responsible for maintaining inventory as required to support Maintenance and Line requirements. They are required to review manage and release advance stock order requirements in support of all planned maintenance, line and heavy maintenance.
Maintaining Inventory as required to support all Maintenance and Line requirements.
Reviewing, managing and releasing advance stock order requirements in support of all planned maintenance, line and heavy maintenance. This will include high cost investment related to medication kitting and service bulletin material acquisition
Adjusting settings in advance re order proposal to cater for future likely material demands or changing scenarios to avoid unnecessary stock build up
Daily check onpart admin update – ensuring critical data elements added accurately – such as Part Type data associated with obsolescence calculation.
Assisting the Inventory, Supplier & Materials Data Specialist in review and follow on sourcing of rotables and expendables required in support of new or leased aircraft arrivals.
Ensuring adequate supply of required essential components and consumables – whilst maintaining major focus on cost avoidance.
Monthly reporting on C&E (Consumable) Inventory, C&E Excess/Surplus identification, Rotable Inventory, Quarterly Rotable excess & deficiency review (software assistance with rotable excess outstanding – and will facilitate more regular review activity), Inventory Turn calculation – in support of Inventory, Supplier & Materials Data Specialist.
Assisting Inventory, Supplier & Materials Data Specialist in organising regular monthly and quarterly review activity with key Supplier interface units; Chase regular reporting, performance adherence and remedies rewards for the company as opportunities present themselves
To be considered for the position of Inventory Planner/Buyer, candidates must meet the following:
Your qualifications & key criteria:
Fully literate in all MS Office applications including Excel (High Level of Proficiency), Word, and PowerPoint
Specific Inventory management, buying and supplier management awareness
Knowledge of and familiarity with Rotable and Consumable supply and Demand challenges
Proven negotiation skills
Strong mathematical & numerical competency
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
Provendecision-making skills with the ability to make timely, clear-cut, well informed evaluated decisions
Flexible and adaptable with an ability to deliver and drive change
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Eligible to live and work in the EU *
Current unrestricted worldwide passport
Provide two verifiable references
Able to pass a five year security background check
Knowledge of AMOS would be an advantage
