Role Title: MCC Materials Coordinator 

Maintenance & Engineering Department Dublin 

Applications are currently being invited for the role of MCC Materials Coordinator.  We are looking for a MCC Materials Coordinator to join our Maintenance & Engineering Department. We’re the department that is responsible for maintenance of our Fleet of A320, A321, and A330 aircraft. Based in Hangar 6 at Dublin Airport with Line Maintenance departments in Dublin, Shannon, Cork and also at UK and North American stations our aircraft engineers perform line maintenance and check (base) maintenance on all of our fleet up to A checks. Maintenance activities are supported by our own Engineering, Planning, Quality Assurance and Materials (Logistics) departments.

Reporting to the Inventory, Supplier & Materials Data Specialist, you will have responsibility for prioritising and co-coordinating the materials supply and stores support function to satisfy aircraft AOG (Aircraft On Ground) and DDR (Deferred Defect Rectification) material requirements in order to minimise aircraft technical delays and improve the technical despatch reliability of the fleet  located at all stations.

Your role:

Manage the daily issues and prioritise as necessary to improve the technical despatch reliability of fleet and efficiency of the area  

Monitor and manage the on the day AOG activities to minimise aircraft downtime 

Minimise aircraft downtime by highlighting materials supply issues and greater utilisation of resources   

Prepare for and represent the Materials Department at the daily technical delays meeting 

Develop and improve the  processes in supporting  line station spares requirements and demands  by ensuring correct stock availability for planned maintenance events at various stations including  base checks

Improve Fleet Technical despatch reliability and meet contractual KPI’s  by establishing relationships with vendors in support of  material procurement and logistics  activity  both for the EIN fleet and the ACMI fleet

Identify stock candidates for disposal or purchase for review by materials  management by proposing improvements in inventory levels at various stock locations

Improve processes and efficiency for the area by liaising with the GCC and  the Duty Maintenance Manager on operational issues relating to materials supply

To be considered for the position of MCC Materials Coordinator, candidates must meet the following:

Your qualifications & key criteria: 

Detailed knowledge of the procurement process and policies with regards to the sourcing of required aircraft spares

Ability to negotiate best value for money for Aer Lingus supported by expertise in identifying best logistical solution at minimal cost  to address AOG or critical spare requests

Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to prioritise and work to tight deadlines.

Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Excellent numerical and analytical skills with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Self-motivated individual with a high level of initiative and commitment while contributing effectively as part of a team.

Flexible and adaptable with a positive attitude to change.

Well-developed computer skills and in depth knowledge of AMOS with the  ability to analyse and interpret data for management reporting

Fluent in English, both written and spoken 

Eligible to live and work in the EU * 

Current unrestricted worldwide passport 

Provide two verifiable references 

Able to pass a five year security background check 

*If you are a non Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries
