Are you interested in growing your career with Ireland’s only 4 star airline? We are currently looking for an experienced Project Manager to lead a key project within our People and Change (HR) team. Located in our Head Office in Dublin Airport, the role will report to the Head of Organisational Effectiveness. The HR Project Manager will play an important role in delivering upon the function’s strategic priorities including systems enhancements, process transformation and change management. This is initially a 12 month fixed term contract.

The role:

Managing project delivery in adherence to industry standard project management procedures and practices
Ensuring best practices around risk management, reporting (internal, external) and communication are applied
Responsibility for project delivery risk and issue management, including the identification and implementation of risk and issue mitigating actions
Responsibility for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, to agreed levels of quality and within approved budget
Ensuring project KPIs are achieved in line with agreed targets and company KPIs
Monitoring and controlling activities including  regular reporting both internally and externally
Responsibility for resource planning and working with the programme manager and resource manager to ensure a successful plan is in place
Managing internal communication, ensuring all internal stakeholders are informed, consulted as appropriate on items of relevance through the lifecycle of the project.
Responsibility for project cost management – including estimations and definition of project costs and plans and on-going robust cost management through project execution
Delivery of effective and accurate project progress reports that can be analysed and understood at all levels within the organisation

Your qualifications & key criteria: 

Possess at least 5 years of professional project experience, with at a minimum of 3 years in leading and managing projects
Excellent knowledge and proven experience of managing systems implementation or enhancement projects 
A strong understanding of best practises, tools and techniques for project management with ability to continuously improve these processes
Experience in working with third party suppliers in the delivery of HR or IT change initiatives – including experience of working with remote and co-located teams and vendors 
Advanced level of proficiency in use of Microsoft Office suite – Including Word, Excel & PowerPoint. Project and Visio experience advantageous 
Excellent communication skills, with a strong ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally at levels up to Director level and ability to make complex technology problem simple to the business. Capable of understanding and communicating the “big picture”
Strong negotiation skills with proven ability to maintain relationships with stakeholders and to influence stakeholders in support of project delivery 
Robust relationship management, capable of working with all levels within the organisation by building effective relationships 
An effective team manager with proven ability to build, motivate and support a high performing team 
Highly motivated, driven, pragmatic and focused on project delivery for business benefit  
Strong listening, analytical, problem solving and with close attention to detail
Ability to demonstrate conflict resolution skills – driving resolution of any project conflicts
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Eligible to live and work in the EU
Provide 2 verifiable references
Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5 year back ground check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in
Possess and be able to demonstrate the key competencies and skills outlined below

*If you are a non-Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries 


Desirable skills: 

PMI/Prince 2 certification 
Experience optimising HR processes and procedures
Experience implementing/optimising HR systems including ResourceLink/RLA and TalentSoft
Experience implementing organisational change focused around internal customer experience
Experience working with employee data and generating business insights
Experience working in an airline
