Are you interested in growing your career with Ireland’s only 4 star airline? We are looking for a Maintenance Operations Manager to join our growing Maintenance and Engineering Department. We’re the department that provides line and base maintenance services to support the European and transatlantic operation. Reporting to the Line Maintenance Manager, you will oversee and manage the technical operations on both the short haul and long haul fleets with the support of the Fleet Technical Managers.

Overseeing and managing the technical operations on both the short haul and long haul fleets to assist the Line Maintenance Manager in the performance of his/her duties.
Ensuring that the work performed on Line Maintenance is in accordance with the MMOE and associated procedures.
Deputising for the Line Maintenance Manager in his / her absence.
Promoting safe working practices in line with Health and Safety policies.
Promoting a just culture within the Line Maintenance department.
Assisting with procedure development and upkeep.
Assisting with closure of Quality Audit Non Conformances.
Assisting with roster development and management.
Monitoring of the Aer Lingus Time management system to ensure compliance with time management policy.
Ensuring sufficient personnel are provided in order to plan, perform and certify all aircraft maintenance and associated activities.
Any other duties as required by the management team.
To be considered for the role of Maintenance Operations Manager candidates must meet the following criteria:
Your qualifications & key criteria:
Hold an EASA B1 or B2 Part 66 Licence or Aeronautical Engineering degree or equivalent.
5 years working in an aircraft maintenance environment.
Experience supervising or managing a team.
Ability to delegate
Ability to negotiate
Ability to motivate a team
Possess a high level of integrity
Excellent communication skills
Excellent organisation skills
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Eligible to live and work in the EU *
Current unrestricted worldwide passport
Provide two verifiable references
Able to pass a five year security background check
Experience working on Airbus A320 or A330 Aircraft desirable but not essential.
Experience working in an ETOPS environment.
Proven Aeronautical/Engineering Management experience.
Proven experience of effectively managing a team with the ability to motivate to meet deliverables in a dynamic, fast paced environment.
Proven Project Management experience.
Experience with Aircraft Maintenance Systems such as AMOS, Airbus World, Airman, Flight scheduling software such as AIMS etc.
Computer literate in Microsoft Excel, Word, Power Point & Project
Working knowledge of EASA part 145 and its application in the workplace
*If you are a non Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries.
