Role Title: Junior Project Manager 
Digital & Mobile Department Dublin

We are looking for a Junior Project Manager to manage projects within the Technology portfolio in our Digital and Mobile team. As part of our high performing team, you will have close interaction with internal and external stakeholders across the technology stack to ensure projects are actively and successfully managed from initiation through to delivery. Based in Dublin Airport, and reporting to a Programme Manager, you will have responsibility for managing and reporting on Digital and Mobile Projects, including management of scope, budget, schedule, quality and risks during the project lifecycle. Your role:

Responsible for ensuring that your projects are delivered on time, to agreed levels of quality and within approved budget
Lead, manage and motivate the project team(s) to deliver the project according to agreed project targets and company KPIs
Ensure regular and appropriate reporting both internally and externally, and effectively manage the communication with all stakeholders. All Project reports to be effective, accurate, and capable of being analysed and understood by the respective target audiences.
For each project, monitor and control activities to achieve project goals.
Responsible for resource planning on your projects. This will be achieved by working with the Programme Manager and resource managers to ensure a successful plan is in place.
Manage your projects according to industry standard project management practices, and Digital and Mobile’s tailored Project Management processes. Processes may be based on Agile or Waterfall methodologies or a hybrid of these, where appropriate.
Learn and implement the agreed Project Management processes and governance, and where possible, identify opportunities to improve them. 
Responsible for Risk and Issue management in your projects.
Responsible for cost management of your projects. This includes estimations and definition of project costs initially, and ensuring excellent cost management through the project lifecycle.
As part of a team, to work with your Programme Manager to ensure the success of the Programme portfolio by supporting Programme initiatives, and building your project management experience through overcoming challenges encountered along the way.
Successfully managing any suppliers or 3rd party organisations that contribute to the delivery of your projects.
As a Junior Project Manager, build a good working knowledge of the domain expertise in your Programme.

Your qualifications & key criteria: 

Relevant 3rd level qualification with a strong technical focus
Excellent knowledge and experience of working with IT Software Development Lifecycle methodologies including Waterfall & Agile
Possess at least 5+ years of professional experience, with at a minimum of 2 years in project management
Experience in working with third party suppliers in the delivery of business or IT change initiatives – including experience of working with remote and co-located teams and vendors 
Experience in use of Microsoft Office suite – Including Project, Visio, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
A working experience in Quality Management, Project planning, Risk & Change management and how to implement them in your projects. 
A strong understanding of best practises, tools and techniques for project management and programme management with ability to continuously improve these processes
Excellent communication skills, with a strong ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally at levels up to Director level and ability to make complex technology problem simple to the business. Capable of understanding and communicating the “big picture”
Use of negotiation skills with proven ability to maintain relationships with stakeholders and to influence stakeholders in support of project delivery 
Experience as a project team manager with proven ability to build, motivate and support a high performing team 
Highly motivated, driven, pragmatic and completely focused on project delivery for business benefit  
Strong listening, analytical, problem solving and with close attention to detail
Ability to demonstrate conflict resolution skills – driving resolution of any project conflicts
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Eligible to live and work in the EU
Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport
Provide 2 verifiable references
Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5 year background check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in.

Desirable Criteria: 

PMI/Prince 2 certification 
Scrum-master certification
A technical background ideally gained in consulting companies or working with Airlines or other enterprise systems with international, Tier 1 customer organisations 
Knowledge of IT and Digital systems, including experience of leading software development projects involving web-based, mid-range and integration platforms and applications


*If you are a non Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries
