Are you interested in growing your career with Ireland’s only 4 star airline? We are looking for a Maintenance Planning Specialist to join our growing Technical Planning Department. We’re the department that are responsible for ensuring all maintenance is planned within the constraints of the Maintenance Program and Aer Lingus MMOE. Based in Dublin Airport and reporting to the Manager, Technical Planning, you will have responsibility for the planning of all scheduled maintenance having regard to minimising aircraft downtime and the efficient utilisation of available manpower and resources. Also, Liaise with Duty Maintenance Managers and Duty Maintenance Engineering Specialists as well as Line Maintenance to ensure efficient accomplishment of all maintenance tasks without undue disruption to the aircraft flight schedule.

Implementing the approved Aircraft Maintenance Program to ensure compliance with all required regulations and standards
Forecasting and planning all scheduled maintenance
Liaising with the fleet planning team to ensure aircraft are operating on the correct lines of flying to meet operational demands
Liaising with contracted Maintenance Organisation’s to ensure any planned work is complete and correctly recorded.
Liaising with the Materials Department to ensure all required spares and tooling are available forplanned maintenance activities.
Liaise with 3rd party EASA Approved 145 organisation’s to ensure all maintenance activities are accomplished in accordance with AMP and Company procedures
Updating of relevant procedures, when required and assisting with testing the relevant maintenance planning IT system.
Liaising with other departments to ensure suitable aircraft downtime for scheduled maintenance, where appropriate.
Review and suggest ideas to improve the current processes performed within M&E
To be considered for the position of Planning Specialist A320, candidates must meet the following:
Your qualifications & key criteria:
At least 3 years’ experience working in an airline maintenance-planning department or a degree/diploma in an aviation related discipline
Familiarity with aircraft maintenance programmes.
Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications (Word, Excel, Power Point etc.).
Understanding of EASA Part 145 and Part M continuing airworthiness regulatory requirements
Familiarity with technical documentation utilised to support aircraft maintenance.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Eligible to live and work in the EU
Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport
Provide 3 verifiable references
Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5 year back ground check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in
Possess and be able to demonstrate the key competencies and skills outlined below
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain relationships both internally and externally.
Familiarity with AMOS would be an advantage.
Hold a current full driving licence.
Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport.
Ability to work as part of a team but also demonstrate the ability to work on own initiative
Strong attention to detail.
Proven ability to work under pressure and to adapt quickly within a dynamic environment.
Self-motivated individual with a high level of initiative and commitment.
Strong presentation and reporting skills.

*If you are a non Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries
