Applications are currently being invited for the role of Payment Solutions Specialist within the Network Revenue Department The successful candidate will have overall responsibility for the development, implementation and enhancement of our payment solutions. They will be charged with evolving our Payments Strategy across all touchpoints and the overall guest digital payments proposition. This will cover all touchpoints including but not limited to the website, mobile app, Global Distribution Systems, in-flight and check-in. They will be tasked with evolving the payment strategy for Aer Lingus in the short term and long term.
They must possess a keen understanding of the digital and mobile payments market and of current and emerging payment schemes, regulations and technologies.
The successful candidate will work closely with both, Commercial, Digital and Finance Teams.
Monitoring and assessing market trends and developments in payments and innovation.
Evolving and enhancing our Digital and Offline Payments Strategy and overall guest based digital payments proposition.
Shape and develop innovative Digital Payments Propositions which align with the broader Digital Strategy and Strategic and Financial goals of Aer Lingus.
Develop payments propositions through the development of compelling business plans and by leading & participating in cross functional product teams.
Lead relationship with key senior business stakeholders across Retail, Commercial, Finance, Ecommerce, IT and IAG to secure engagement and buy-in to plans, and act as key subject matter expert.
Bring an understanding of the digital and mobile payments market and of current and emerging payment schemes, regulations and technologies to the team
Analysis of global guest needs, behaviour and attitudes - and translate this into a business recommendation
Assessment of appropriate benchmarks to provide insights to the business
Provide high quality demand analysis to support decision making at senior level
Monitor industry developments and economic trends to determine impacts and implications on the Payment strategy
Develop recommendations to optimise sales revenue, reduce costs and enhance ROI
Analyse actual results and communicate performance variances (& provide commentary)
Undertake financial and economic analysis in business case evaluation
Report and present ad-hoc analysis to support future planning
Initiate special/ad-hoc reviews and projects at the request of management
To be considered for the role of Payment Solutions Specialist, candidates must meet the following:
Your qualifications & key criteria: `
Degree in a business or related discipline or a proven track record
Strong commercial focus with a clear understanding of Aer Lingus’ position
Strong understanding of the digital and mobile payments market and of current and emerging payment schemes and technologies
Previous experience of working in a management digital role within a large organisation and of bringing payment propositions to implementation
Plan for the future and business case new innovations /initiatives to increase awareness, acquisition and retention strategies along with business cases for online/digital/web/ offline projects
Creative, with strong organizational and project management skills
Experience in proposition and/ or business/ strategy development
Experience in developing KPI reports, dashboards and analytics
Excellent numerical, analytical and modelling skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail
Strategic thinking, problem solving and time management skills
Business acumen and financial management skills with experience in statistical analysis
Proven ability in detailed trend analysis and financial modelling
Experience of working with delivery teams, providing leadership, direction and support to ensure successful delivery of business outcomes.
Enhance customer user experience to deliver higher conversion across all platforms
Excellent interpersonal skills combined with the ability to build and maintain positive working relationships at all levels
Excellent communication and effective presentation skills. Proven capability of drafting and presenting plans to senior stakeholders.
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Eligible to live and work in the EU
Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport
Provide 2 verifiable references
Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5 year back ground
Check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in
Possess and be able to demonstrate the key competencies and skills outlined below
*If you are a non Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries
