Applications are invited for the position of Attendance Manager (Maternity Leave Cover – Specified Purpose Contract). Reporting to the Employment Law Manager this role is based in the People & Change Department, Hangar 6, Dublin Airport.  The Attendance Manager will oversee attendance management processes and absence reporting and will also play an active role in the management of complex absence cases.  The Attendance Manager will work with the various business areas to support them in achieving their attendance management targets.
 
Your role:

Drive and support the implementation of the company’s attendance management initiatives and projects to achieve agreed absence targets
Provide advice, guidance and support to line managers and  local Attendance Management specialists on attendance management issues and share good attendance management practice as appropriate
Develop, control and maintain standard processes, documentation and toolkits on attendance management and ensure consistent application of these across the business
Supervise and where required deliver absence reporting to ensure information is provided in timely manner and meets the needs of the business
Responsibility for the management of complex and long-term attendance management cases
Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders to include Occupational Health Providers, Health & Safety Team, Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), IAG Procurement and Income Continuance Providers as required
Control and Manage the Occupational Health expenditure as against agreed financial budget
Co-ordinate Income Continuance Scheme applications
Other tasks and projects as requested by the Employment Law Manager and/or Director of Employee Relations


To be considered for the role of Attendance Manager (Maternity Leave Cover – specified purpose contract) candidates must meet the following criteria:

Your qualifications & key criteria:
5 year's experience in business environment dealing with multiple stakeholders
Strong knowledge and experience of attendance management processes and best practice
Good knowledge and understanding of employment law around absenteeism management (short and persistent absence and long- term sickness,  employee capability issues, disciplinary processes)
Strong interpersonal skills
Excellent communication skills both verbal & written
Sound analytical skills with an ability to present information in a clear and informative manner
Must have excellent attention to detail and problem solving ability
Proven ability to multi task
Must be a team player who works well in a fast paced, ever changing environment
Ability to create and develop strong collaborative working relationships
Ability to deal with confidential and sensitive matters with high integrity
Proficiency in MS Office applications (Word, Power Point and Excel)
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Eligible to live and work in the EU
Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport
Able to provide 3 verifiable references
Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5 year background check* (or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in i.e. Dublin)
Desirable Criteria:
Certificate in HRM or equivalent professional qualification
Experience of working in unionised environment
HR Systems experience e.g. time and attendance systems
Competency in project management
*If you are a non Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries.
