If you enjoy a challenge, we have an exciting vacancy as Treasury Specialist. You will report directly to the Director of Insurance, Tax & Treasury.
The key purpose of the role is to drive the financial and business performance of Aer Lingus. As Treasury Specialist, you will be responsible for managing Treasury operations with day to day responsibility for all areas of Front Office operations, including hedging, counterparties and process automation and improvement. This will include direct responsibility for managing relationships with banks and other counterparties, contributing to the development and implementation of our risk management strategy and developing, monitoring and reporting on our Treasury operations and ensuring compliance with policies and regulatory requirements.
You will be an integral part of the business and will need to be a team player with a flexible attitude and the ability to work on your own initiative. You will need to demonstrate a strong knowledge and understanding of Treasury practice, products and systems and have experience or an understanding of process improvement and automation. A clear commercial focus, combined with drive and determination are also key to success in this role.

To be considered for the role of Treasury Specialist candidates must meet the following criteria:
Your qualifications & key criteria:
Qualified accountant and/or ACT qualification
Minimum two years’ practical Treasury experience
Knowledge of IFRS accounting standards
Accustomed to working in a fast paced environment and delivering to tight and competing deadlines
Highly numerate with strong verbal and written communication skills
Demonstrable knowledge of cash management systems and solutions
Advanced Office skills (including PowerPoint)
Fluent in English, both written and spoke
Eligible to live and work in the EU
Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport
Able to provide 2 verifiable references
Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5 year background check* (or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in i.e. Dublin)
*If you are a non-Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries
