We are looking for a highly inquisitive and analytical individual to join our growing Operations Planning team as a Senior Business Analyst. The Operations Planning team are responsible for the short, medium and long term planning of cabin crew and pilots. Based in Dublin Airport and reporting to the Head of Operations Planning, you will have responsibility for identifying, articulating, and solving complex problems, improving processes and driving efficiencies in a fast-paced and dynamic airline environment.  If you have the necessary skills and experience we are looking for, and an interest in growing your career in the aviation industry this is a fantastic opportunity to work with us at a time of rapid expansion.  Take a look below.

Your role:

Partnering
Collaborate with key stakeholders from across the business, including senior  management, to analyse processes, identify problems or areas for improvement and provide solutions
Build strong and trusted relationships, and quickly absorb new subject matter, in order to get  ‘up to speed’ and develop a comprehensive understanding of the issues facing a particular team or business area

Driving Efficiencies
Drive efficiencies across the airline, partnering with departments including In Flight Services (cabin crew) and Flight Operations (pilots) and identify innovative ways to improve block hour productivity and make the most efficient use of our crews.

Analysis
Understand, evaluate and interpret data from a variety of sources
Using data analysis to solve problems and develop and quantify solutions
Provide progress updates, presentations and written reports, e.g. “Compare current crew costs with projected improvements, working with HR and Operations to comprehensively understand constraints and opportunities”

Delivering solutions
Produce timely, actionable conclusions and recommendations for management with a clear focus on improving efficiencies and adding value to the company, to be incorporated in the five year business plan and annual budget

To be considered for the position of Senior Business Analyst , candidates must meet the following:


Your qualifications & key criteria:

3rd Level qualification in a relevant field
A minimum of three years’ experience in a high performing analytical environment such as professional services, investment banking or consulting, with accountancy qualification i.e. ACA, ACCA or CIMA desirable
An interest in the aviation sector
Strong numerical and quantitative skills
Comprehensive MS Excel
Inquisitive approach to tackling and solving problems
Excellent interpersonal skills, able to work across departments and with the highest levels of management
Excellent verbal and written communication skills, to include proven report writing & presentation skills
An enthusiastic team player, but with ability to take the initiative and work independently
Proven capability to work effectively under pressure and commitment to producing high quality output to tight deadlines
Ability to learn new technologies and tools
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Eligible to live and work in the EU
Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport
Provide 2 verifiable references
Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5 year background check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in

*If you are a non Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries
