We are looking for a Stores Operations Manager to join our Maintenance & Engineering Department. The M&E Department is responsible for maintaining the Airline’s fleet of aircraft in a serviceable and safe condition whilst ensuring that the fleet availability meets the on time departure targets set by the company. Stores are the section within the M&E Department that holds the inventory, tools and equipment to support the 24x7 operation and arrange shipment across the entire network. Reporting to the Materials Manager, working in close alignment with the Materials Operations Manager, you and your team will have responsibility for delivering the core underlying warehouse support activities, providing training as required, maintaining all process and procedures related to the warehouse team plus developing the Stores team and facility to enable a seamless transition into the future supply configuration.

Your role:

Inventory Related Core Activities
Binning of all material receipts into the Aer Lingus & Customer warehouses
Issue of all materials as required
Organise and maintain Shelf life control as required
Warehouse temperature and Humidity control
Organiseand perform stock checking, as agreed with the Materials and Inventory manager

Maintain the following  Development Support activities as follows 
Location Management, encompassing offsite, reconstruction/restructure or other as necessary to facilitate Store configuration change to meet fleet growth requirements
Review and Implement all stocking development activities such as Bar Coding application/XXX and other as software develops 
Interface and close working alignment with materials/ inventory manager regarding implementation of IAG/Supplier driven consignment and remote inventory holding applications

Develop a program and maintain the following Training/ Process implementation
Provide or organise all basic and development training for the warehouse team
Write or organise writing of all required process/procedures relating to the Stores section
Address all Stores related non conformances 

Maintain Reporting/Data management related to Stores
Develop a program of KPIs for oversight of Stores performance 
Ensure all key data elements related to Stores are maintained 

Maintain Key Stores Operational Support
Work in close alignment and Provide support as necessary to Materials operations manager , Inventory manager and Materials manager 
Monitor and ensure regular picking and availability/supply of all materials & equipment for all maintenance activities planned by the business

To be considered for the role of Stores Operations Manager candidates must meet the following criteria:

Your qualifications & key criteria: 

Fully literate in all MS Office applications including Excel (High Level of Proficiency), Word, and PowerPoint
Specific Stores and  Inventory management
Knowledge of and familiarity with aviation business warehouse  Rotable and Consumable supply and Demand challenges 
Display flexibility and commitment in regard to supporting the Materials department efforts at large
Strong mathematical & numerical competency
Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to build and maintain strong working relationships
Proven decision-making skills with the ability to make timely, clear-cut, well informed evaluated decisions
Flexible and adaptable with an ability to deliver and drive change
Fluent in English, both written and spoken 
Eligible to live and work in the EU * 
Current unrestricted worldwide passport 
Able to pass a five year security background check

Desirable Criteria:

Knowledge of AMOS would be a distinct advantage

*If you are a non Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries
