Reporting to the Director of Network Management with a dotted line to the Director of Strategy, this highly numerical role is focused on route profitability and network economics. There are two key responsibilities: firstly, supporting the route profitability (RPA) team through the monthly cycle of route profitability reporting, inputting data and developing a comprehensive understanding of the processes and systems involved. Secondly, using the output data to model network economics, evaluate new route opportunities, and develop business cases. The role provides a strong grounding for a future career in network planning and/or strategy.
Network economics – Developing insights from route profitability analysis and applying them to evaluation of market opportunities, traffic forecasting and schedule optimisation. You would be the ‘go-to’ individual for cost modelling as part of network business cases. The role will also be tasked with a broad variety of day-to-day market/competitor analysis and capacity reporting. It will provide the opportunity to develop skills in QSI modelling and schedule development.
Route profitability – Supporting the Route Profitability Manager on the RPA team with the monthly cycle of generating route profitability reports. Core to this process is inputting statistics, revenue and cost data from a wide range of sources into the relevant databases. You will also need to produce output reports, including passenger statistics as well as route profitability analysis. You will need to be comfortable with inputting and manipulating large datasets.

Your qualifications & key criteria:
Undergraduate qualification in relevant field
Very strong numerical and quantitative skills: MS Excel required and Tableau/databases encouraged
Demonstrated interest in the airline industry
Strong interpersonal skills, able to work across teams
Good verbal and written communication skills, to include proven report writing & presentation skills
An enthusiastic team player, but with ability to take the initiative and work independently
Proven capability to work effectively under pressure and commitment to producing high quality output to tight deadlines
Ability to learn new technologies and tools
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Eligible to live and work in the EU
Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport
Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5 year background check* (or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in i.e. Dublin)
*If you are a non Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries
