Are you interested in growing your career with Ireland’s only 4 star airline? We are looking for a Project Manager to manage projects within the Technology portfolio in our Digital and Mobile team. As part of our high performing team you will have close interaction with internal and external stakeholders across the technology stack, to ensure projects are actively and successfully managed from initiation through to delivery. Based in Dublin Airport and reporting to the Programme Manager, you will have responsibility for managing and reporting on the key performance criteria including scope, budget, schedule, quality and risks during the project management lifecycle. The role will also require you to positively engage in a comprehensive delivery transformation programme in our delivery methodologies as we progress to a product centric delivery approach. Ensuring that project’s achieve KPIs in line with agreed project targets and company KPIs
Monitoring and controlling activities including regular reporting both internally and externally
Responsibility for resource planning and working with the programme manager and resource manager to ensure a successful plan is in place
Managing internal communication, ensuring all internal stakeholders are informed, consulted as appropriate on items of relevance through the lifecycle of the project.
Ensuring best practices around risk management, reporting (internal, external) and communication are applied
Managing project delivery in adherence to industry standard project management procedures and practices
Responsibility for project delivery risk and issue management, including the identification and implementation of risk and issue mitigating actions
Proactively engage in change initiatives to ensure their success in your deliveries, to make sure that the best practices are enabled and embedded in your work, and you are a champion of initiatives to drive a product centric delivery ethos
Responsibility for project cost management – including estimations and definition of project costs and plans and on-going robust cost management through project execution
Responsibility for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, to agreed levels of quality and within approved budget
Delivery of effective and accurate project progress reports that can be analysed and understood at all levels within the organisation
Your qualifications & key criteria:
Relevant 3rd level qualification with a strong technical focus
Excellent knowledge and proven experience of working with IT Software Development Lifecycle methodologies including Waterfall & Agile
Possess at least 8+ years of professional experience, with at a minimum of 3 years in project management
Experience in working with third party suppliers in the delivery of business or IT change initiatives – including experience of working with remote and co-located teams and vendors
Advanced level of proficiency in use of Microsoft Office suite – Including Project, Visio, Word, Excel & PowerPoint
Acute understanding and ability to demonstrate expertise in Quality Management, Project planning, Risk & Change management
A strong understanding of best practises, tools and techniques for project management and programme management with ability to continuously improve these processes
An effective team manager with proven ability to build, motivate and support a high performing team
Highly motivated, driven, pragmatic and completely focused on project delivery for business benefit
Excellent communication skills, with a strong ability to effectively communicate both internally and externally at levels up to Director level and ability to make complex technology problem simple to the business. Capable of understanding and communicating the “big picture”
Strong negotiation skills with proven ability to maintain relationships with stakeholders and to influence stakeholders in support of project delivery
Robust relationship management, capable of working with all levels within the organisation by building effective relationships
Strong listening, analytical, problem solving and with close attention to detail
Ability to demonstrate conflict resolution skills – driving resolution of any project conflicts
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Eligible to live and work in the EU
Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport
Provide 2 verifiable references
Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5 year back ground
check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in
Possess and be able to demonstrate the key competencies and skills outlined below
*If you are a non-Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from that country/countries
PMI/Prince 2 certification
A technical background ideally gained in consulting companies or working with Airlines or other enterprise systems with international, Tier 1 customer organisations
Knowledge of IT and Digital systems, including experience of leading software development projects involving web-based, mid-range and integration platforms and applications
