Applications are currently being invited for the role of Business Support Manager –Dublin Station. Reporting to the Head of Dublin Airport Operations, the role of Business Support Manager is a critical role responsible for managing all resource planning, rostering and administrative support activities in Dublin Station. The role will manage the planning & forecasting of frontline resource requirements and will facilitate delivery of the resource plan for the operation. The role plays an integral role in the development of the 5 Year Business Plan, the annual budget and quarterly forecasts.

Your Role:

Managing resource planning in Dublin Station and working closely with the Station management team to ensure the resource plan meets budgetary considerations and operational requirements.
Being aware of and record business, resource and seasonal changes, making appropriate adjustments to the resource plan for expected changes in profile and workloads
Leading the Dublin Station input to the 5 Year Business Plan, annual budget and re-forecasting processes in close collaboration with the local management team and the Finance Business Partner.
Monitoring and tracking the impact of changes or new business initiatives on Payroll and Overheads.
Managing the annual leave planning process
Monitoring  and proposing effective shift patterns to match business requirements and determine appropriate resources to support the shift pattern proposed
Identifying  and pro-actively managing  changes toshift patterns to deliver improved performance, working with Operational management to facilitate smooth communication and transition to the new shift pattern
Providing analytical data and trends relating to roster outputs and other operational issues to assist the management team in  responding  to individual and collective grievances on these matters and chair meetings of the roster review committees in both Ramp and Guest Services
Ensuring  timely and accurate roster production
Actively manage and develop the Workforce Management tools – GS Planning and Inform - including owning the relationship with the supplier
Responsibility for producing  timely, actionable recommendations to management for consideration on improving efficiencies and adding value in the operation which could be incorporated into the five year business plan and annual budget
Collaborating with management to prepare business cases on 5 Year Plan initiatives or key operational/technological projects
Overseeing the management   and reporting of KPI’s within Dublin Station in relation to sick, overtime, annual leave etc.
Managing  the Planning, Rostering and Ops Support Teams to ensure delivery of business objectives including overseeing performance, determining training needs and providing team coaching where required
Reviewing  periodically all rostering, planning and administration support activity in Dublin Station and recommend any changes required to roles and responsibilities to ensure that all teams are future proofed to meet the needs of employees and the Dublin Station management team
Overseeing all station wide communications e.g. Ground Information Notices (GIN’s), Ground Handling Bulletins (GHB’s)
Developing and maintaining effective working relationships across Dublin Station, Aer Lingus and with external agencies.

To be considered for the role of Business Support Manager –Dublin Station candidates must meet the following criteria:

Your qualifications & key criteria:

BA/Business Studies degree required, preferred economics, statistics, business or equivalent qualification
Substantial experience of performing resource planning functions and/or using workforce management tool(s)
Experience in managing and leading a team
Knowledge of aviation best practice and trends
Knowledge of industry and regulatory requirements
Understanding of ground operations work activities and work flows
Strong quantitative and analytical skills with the ability to present facts and opinions articulately, persuasively and objectively
Must be able to multi-task, be detail oriented and possess strong organizational skills
Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills incl. the ability to explain complex information in an easy to understand manner and generate “buy-in” from key stakeholders to further your department
Experience and awareness of the commercial challenges facing the business, combined with the ability to think strategically and act operationally
Proven ability to build strong, collaborative working relationships with internal and external stakeholders
Adaptable, with an ability to apply different tools, frameworks and approaches to solve different types of problems
Must be proficient with Excel to advanced level and have the ability to organise/analyse, import/export data in a structured manner (e.g. pivot tables).
Proficient in other Windows applications – MS Word, PowerPoint
Fluent in English, both written and spoken
Eligible to live and work in the EU
Hold a current unrestricted worldwide passport
Provide 2 verifiable references
Able to pass a strict airport security vetting procedure which includes a 5 year back ground check* or be in possession of a current airside pass for the airport this position is based in

*If you are a non-Irish Citizen, you will need to be in possession of a current police disclosure certificate from your home country. If you have lived outside the Republic of Ireland for more than 6 months you will also be required to hold a current police disclosure certificate from those country/countries
