You must be 16 years of age on or before the 1st March 2014
You must be fluent in English, both spoken and written
You must be eligible to live and work permanently in the EU and possess an unrestricted worldwide passport
You must be able to pass a full security and background check
You must be able to pass a colour vision and medical assessment
You must be able to provide 2 verifiable references
Candidates must have the following minimum educational qualifications:
Grade C or higher at Ordinary Level in the Junior Certificate (or equivalent) in the following subjects:
(i) English (ii) Mathematics (iii) Science* (iv) Any two other subjects
Grade D or higher on Higher Level papers is acceptable.
*If you have not attained the required grade in Science, the following is acceptable:
Junior Certificate: Technology, Technical Graphics, Materials Technology (Wood), Home Economics Metal Work
Leaving Certificate: Agricultural Science, Biology, Chemistry, Construction Studies, Engineering, Home Economics, Physics, Chemistry, Technical Drawing & Technology

- Third Level qualification results (if applicable)

Next Stages of the Process
Candidates who successfully submit their online application forms will be required to complete an online personality questionnaire and five online assessments. Candidates brought forward to the interview stage WILL BE RE-TESTED under supervised conditions on the assessments. Any significant discrepancies in performance on the test / re-test results WILL result in elimination from the selection process, barring from re-application and may have a negative impact on any application you may make for a position of employment with Aer Lingus in the future.
Candidates successful at the assessment stage of the recruitment process will be invited to attend an interview during the months of August 2014 at a venue in Dublin which will be advised at a later date. There may not be alternative interview dates available, please bear this in mind when applying.
Part of the selection process includes undergoing and successfully passing a colour vision and medical assessment prior to commencing the apprenticeship. This may involve the disclosure of sensitive personal data about your health.
